PRESSURE ON RUMANIA BEING LIGHTENED
FALKENHAYN'S FLANK THREATENED BLOCKADE OF GREECE . Tho now Russian blow in Transylvania is already beginning to • exert some influence on tbe situation in Rumania. It has placed von Falkenhayn's. flank in danger, and heartened up the Rumanians, who are vigorously attacking on certain sectors. The situation in regard to Bucharest does not appear to have changed very materially, though there appears to he small hope of saving the city. Bad weather is hampering the operations of the Allies in tho Balkans. The Greek crisis is still aoute, though there has been no more serious fighting. An embargo has been placed on all Greek vessels in the Allies' ports; which virtually establishes a state of blockade against Greece There are no material changes on the other battlefronts. The latest reliable news of the British Cabinet crisis states that Mr. Asquith has* advised the King to permit a reconstruction. It is freely hinted that Mr. Lloyd George will bo the next Prime Minister. '
