CHRISTMAS LEAVE
FOR THE TROOPS IN CAMP. It has been arranged that practically all the troops iu the training camps will have extended leave of ten days during the Christmas and New Year holidays. This will mean that largo numbers of officers and) men will be returning to the camps by train and steamer on January 3, 4, and 5. In addition, drafts of men for tho Twentyfourth Reinforcements will be.travelling to cainp. The military authorities are arranging extra trains and steamers where possible, but they ask civilians to regulate their holiday-mak-ing that they will not require to travel on the days mentioned, otherwise there' may bo serious disorganisation of traffic, and the troops will be delayed in returning to camp. Tho Twenty-fourth n.c.o.'s, now on short leave, will return to Trentham this week, and will he given a few days' leave at Christmas and New Year.
