todford Convalescent Camp Concert,
Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., presided over the second meeting held at the iY.M.C.A. on. Friday evening in connection, with the concert for providing a New Zealand Christmas for New Zealanders at Y.M.C.A. N0..11 Hut, Codford. Their.Excellencies the Earl and Countess of Liverpool have accorded their patronage to the entertainment, and it is expected that there will, be a -large attendance. Tickets may he obtained' from. Messrs. Charles Begg and Co., Manners Street, and from Mr. A. iHogg, hardware department, Messrs. ; KirkcaJdie and Stains. The box plan judll open at the Bristol on Monday, 'December 11. Mr. Ray Baker, well 'known in Wellington, who left as.a private with the Main Body, and''who was Svounded at and under shell fire for 72 hours, and now a Y'.M.CA. field secretary, ■ is stationed at Codford, No. 11 Hut.' An. ioed cake, donated by a lady,.is to be forwarded to Miss Clara Rogers for the New Zealand soldiers. Trie ;cake. will be on view to.morrow in* VMessrs. Tho raffia basket, made by an invalid Boldier at the Victoria Hospital, has been won by: Mrs; Benson, of Central Terrace, Kelburn. The raffle was in connection with'the- stall managed -by the Sydney Street' Soldiers' Clud'. The winner guessed the correct number of pea's in a bottle—ll9. -

I Soldiers' Christmas Party,
Miss Rotlienberg, the lion, secretary for the Soldiers' Christmas Party, acknowledges with thanks donations from Lady Stout, Lady Gibbes, Mesdames A. M. Myers, C. Earle, Alabaster, "West, Windoif, Hannah, Ritchie, Carter, Young, Riley, Jacobs, Pox, George, and Dr. Platts-Mills, the Misses Kennedy, Caull, and a "Sympathiser," .Lieut.Colonel "W. A. Fyffo, Messrs. Irwin, Owen, J. B. Harcourt, and AY. L. Rotlienberg. Further donations of money and gifts will be gratefully received within the next two or threo days. Money may be sent - to tho Pioneer Club, and gifts to Mr. Arnold's sliop, "Willis Street. Miss Rotlienberg asks members of tho committee tp bring all lists, and money in hand to the meeting on Tuesday, which will bo held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms at 3* o'clock. '
