ALLEGED ASSAULT

•■ — ITALIAN KICKED AND STABBED. An Italian named Gavino Bolloiie was admitted to the Wellington Hospital at 2.30 a.m. yesterday, suffering from a kick on the jaw and a stabbed chin, said to be the result of an assault made on him in Martin Street (off Taranaki Street) late.on Saturday night. The police are aware ' of the affray, but only wished to state, in connection therewith, that three persons were in custody, two to be charged with keeping a house of ill— famej and one with frequenting the same. They will probably bo brought before tho S.M. Court to-day.
