CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
Sir, —I read with interest in. your paper the evidence of the conscientious objector and his witnesses before the. Military Sorvice Board of tho Christchurch Military District. 'I am one of tho so-called Brethren, but am not a conscientious objector. If I am called up for military service, I am not going to object, but am quite' willing to do my hit. I am pleased to say that a goodly number of our young men hare already gone to the l'vont and have not been found wanting when the time for action came. I noticed with regret that the objector in question was not examined on his personal merits. \\'hy should the rest of the Brethren be consulted collectively in view of granting exemption or not to the whole of tho sect? I do not blame anyone for boing a. conscientious objector, uut I say, lot everyone be examined personally, and stand on his own merit, fc I beliove\ihat everyone shall stand or, fall, to -his own master. —I am etc It.
