They quote: *-Fat cows, £10 17s. to £13 95.; cows and calves, £13 Is. to £10 7s. 6d.; vealers, 26b. to 475.; wcaner calves, £3 Is.: yearling Steers, £7 25.; two-year do., £9 75.; yearling heifers, £4 17s. 6d. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.,' Ltd., report on their first anuual spring cattle fair held in tho Alfredton yards on Monday, where they hod a largo yarding of cattle,'practically, all of which were good quality and in good condition. There was a large attendance of buyers present, and bidding wax animated from start to finish of the sale, tho wliole yarding being sold under the hammer at prices which must have been highly 'satisfactory* to the vendors.
