KAISER PAYS A FLEETING VISIT TO VIENNA . j CANNOT STAY FOR THE FUNERAL (Heuter's Tclezram.) Amsterdam, November 29. The Kaiser arrived at Vienna yester- ! day morning, and returned in the even- , ling. His cold is not improving, and ,the doctors advised him to abandon attendance at the funeral of the late Emperor Francis Joseph. An official reception was cancelled, and the Kaiser devoted the day to prayer at the_ Emperor's bier, npon which he? laid a wreath. The Emperor will be buried by torchlight at 10 o'clock at night. A COLD? OR FEAR OF ASSASSINATION. London, November 29. It is not believed in Vienna that the Kaiser is suffering from a' cold. The opinion is that the real reason for his hurried departure was that_ he was afraid of an attempted assassination. It is reported that only five people were allowed to see the Kaiser in Vienna.
