« ■■ • MEN ALREADY ENLISTED. There havo been many reports since the ballot was drawn of allegedly vory large numbers of men in camp or at the front whoso names are in the ballot list. Tho Defence Minister stated yesterday that there were cases of tliis sort, but the number would not prove to he considerable The Department had discovered by tho check made 107 names which had been gazetted, but othors had since been found. Ho was advised that the total would probably not be more than 40, and certainly would not exceed 50.
