A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER
After blowing "great guns _ from the nor'-west some days, and drenching tho country with a copious downpour, the weather changed yesterday, and a cool southerly, with a distinct bite in its breath, sent the clouds drifting back in the opposite direction. Frequeiit showers fell, and in the soutn. the drop in the temperature was sufficient to change the raindrops into hail, and whiten the hilltops with a mantle of snow. Cool and changeable conditions are predicted, with scattered showers along the East Coast, but the wind will decrease, and the weather is expected to improve generally.
