A WINDY DAY
Yesterday was one of the days, frequent at this time of the year, which have earned for the Empire City the iinpollation of "Windy Wellington." The repion of Cook Strait, according to the Government Meteorologist, has been specially marked for attention by "westerly winds, strong to gale." The ■West Coast _ has _ received _ another drenching. High winds, backing fros? west to-south-west, are to continue, with raiu squalls, aud colder weather will probably, follow.
