The Socialists alone opposed ,tho resolution of the President of tho Reichstag fixing Wednesday for tlio first reading of tho Civilian Compulsion Bill. ("The Times.") (Rco. November 27, 8.35 p.m.) London, November 26. Tho German Press reveals the fact that a union of iron and steel industrialists, embracing all tho large German concerns, was largely responsible for the labour conscription in Germany. The union approached von flindcnburg, proposing a mass levy. Von Hindenourg replied that he shared their views as to the necessity of bringing in'all labour, inoluding women and boye.
