■ ——» ENLISTMENTS IN WELLINGTON. Recruits for the. 25th and 26tb. Reinforcements (the January and February drafts) aie being acoepted at the various recruiting offices. Reports from the groups indicate that the taking of the first ballot has-stimulated voluntary recruiting at some points, but the effect has not been marked. Last week's recruiting was decidedly dull in some of the groups, aiid preliminary figures indicate tliat unless the rate of enlistment improves there will he- a shortage, to be covered by a ballot, in ■ the 25th Reinforcements.
