INDIGNANT SOLDIERS
* • By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, November 23. At a general meeting of the Returned Soldiers' Association held last night the following resolution was unanimously carried:—"That this meeting strongly Tesonts the action of the management of a local picture company, which refused a returned soldier (a Maori) admission to tho dress circle of tho theatre, and that tho members of this association respectfully warn the management, that while it recognises tho right to pick and choose its patrons, it determines to tako drastic steps if necessary to prevent a similar insult being offered to returned Maori soldiers." It was further decided to forward a copy of this resolution to tho head centre of tho association, asking them to express their opinion and to take further-action.
