FINE, BREEZY DAY
Yesetrday was a pleasant sunny day, and despite the fact that a stiff northerly was blowing, was highly enjoyable out'of doors. Tho South Island has had a gloomy day, with rain in the southern districts. Variable and strong winds are predicted. In and north-westward of Cook Strait these will blow principally from tho north-west. Elsewhere southeaster; are expected. Cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain following generally, is to be looked for, with the glass falling ov&rywhore.
