A distinctly novel suggestion in regard to tlio packing of the next consignment of Dominion gifts for the sol-, diers was approved at a meeting of the. Auckland Women's Patriotic League. The December and January- consignments will be packed together on December 7, and instead of operations going forward as usual ill the supperroom, it is proposed to do the packing m the Town Hall itself. Tlio gallery will be open to the public who will thus be given the opportuniiy of witnessing one of the busiest scenes in connection with patriotic work that has yet taken place in Auckland. No oharge will bo made for admission, and the payment of half-a-crown will entitle anyone to take part in the work, by signing a gift-card and packing a parcel, enclosing their own name and address.
