Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of tho usual ferry steamers for Southern offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hourbefore the advertised times of closing of mails. ' The parcel-post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south per ferry steamer at 5.45 p.m. Late letters for mails beyond tho Do. minion cannot in future be posted on the steamer, but must be posted in the lateletter posting-box at th© Chief Post Office up to the' appointed time shown on tho mail notice. All the principal malls by train and steameT close at To Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post OEice, with tlio exception that there is no late-fee clearance, ana that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mails for Auckland and Auckland district per second Main Trunk express close at Courtenay Place at 5.45 p.m. and Te Aro at 8 p.m. A.
