LIFE AND DEATH WAR
FACING A TERRIBLE CRISIS . (Eeuter's Telesrram.) 1 (Rec. November 19, 5.5 p.m.) Amsterdam, November 18. Hindenburg, in a letter to Herr Bethmann-Hollweg, says that Germany is facing a terrible crisis, and great changes were necessary to meet it. He denounces the food department's failure to adequately feed the munitioners, the greed of the agrarians in retaining products, and the sluggishness of the officials who fail to realise that this, is a life and death war.
