PAUL DUFAULT SEASON

FINAL CONCERT TO-NIGHT. - Mr. Paul Dufault gave the first of two extra concert in the Town Hall last evening. His opening number was the aria, "She Ne'er Believed it True," from the opera "Miguon." He sang this melodious composition in delightful fashion, and followed it' with other numbers no less enjoyable: "Oh Little Mother of Mine" (Nevin), "Mandoline" (Debussv), "11 You Would Love Me" (Macdermid), "Lorraine, Lorraine, Loree" (Spross), "Mon Desir" : (Nevin), and "How's My Boy?" (Nevin) were his programme solos, and he supplemented this feast of good things, with various request numbers in response to recalls, notably the favourite, "Requiem" (Homer). With Miss Pauline Bindtey, Mr. Dufault gave the brilliant Don Jase-Micaela duet from "Carmen." Miss Bindley's, own solos were the aria "Depuis le Jour (Louise)" (Cha-rpeutier), "Nobody Knows But Mother". (Cosgrove), "Ah, Love But a Day" (Gilberte), and. "Fairy Revel" (Oliver). ■ Miss Florence Scapi'm, whose sure, caressing touch makes "her playing a delight, contributed several violin solos, including "Chinese Dance" (Kreisler), "Minuet" (Beethoven), "Seherzando" (Marsick), aDd "Hejre Kati" (Hubay). To-night, Paul Dufault will make his final . Wellington appearance. For this good-bye ■ concert a special programme liaa been prepared, which will be largely of a patriotic nature. Mr. Dufault will sing many songs of battle, both French and English..: The tenor's first number will be the great aria, "Sound an Alarm,", one of the most inspiring invocations to battle ever composed. Other numbers inolude. "Reveille," "An Pays." and "The Trumpeter." The duet of'the evening is one new to. Wellington audiences from Do Koyen's opera, "Robin Hood." Miss Paulino Bindley's operatic numbers will include the "Hejre Kati" of Nome." Miss Florence Scapini's violin numbers will includ tho "Hejre Kati" of Hubay. The plans are at the Bristol till 1 p.m., and after, that the Grand Opera House Sweet Shop.
