The full significance of the battle and.the splendid valour of the British, troops form the 1 subject of .an interesting review to-day. Not the least interesting and important item of the news relating to this signal success is the symposium of German Press opinion on the battle. The enemy is sore, very sore, but he admits that wo are waging war more scientifically than we . used to. Big developments, of which we have been afforded but fleeting glimpses lately, have apparently been happening on the : Macedonian front ,in the Balkans. The Allies have surmounted the •' most difficult obstacle in their advance on Monastir, and are now within" 3J miles of that important point. In Rumania the enemy's , pressure continues to bo maintained in the Alt and Jiul Valleys, but the Rumanian advance in the Dobrudja continues.' -
