.The we&thef .yesterday was a pleasant change from the '.'muggy" and utiiv ping ■ conditions that - took the edge off us 'during 'the-preceding- days. The barometer rose sharply, the air freshened and grew keener, and people felt in better torm to wrestle witli affairs of. personal and business moment. It was quite a charming forenoon, but an increasing breeze stirred the' dust in, the City and made the afternoon rather unpleasant. - This, of course, was not noticed in the suburbs, or out in the country, where the enjoyment of the day was nnmarred. \ . Present indications;' says the official recorder, are for "variable breezes with from moderate to strong westerlies in the near future." The glass is expected to' fall again—cloudiness, change, and rain iii many parts of the country.
