WANGANUI MILK SUPPLY CO;

AN UP-TO-DATE CONCERN. The AVanganui Milk Supply's (Ltd.) methods of delivering milk are a credit to the town. A motor-van brings the milk in from the farms as soon as milking is finished, and a freezing plant is installed in their new dairy in order to cool the milk before delivery. Householders will no doubt appreciate this attontion to a very necessary household article during the hot weather.

At the Druids' Hall, AVanganui, last week, a big crowd of the friends of the Rev. Chaplain-Captain Moloney assembled to welcomo him back to Wanganui after his 11 months' absence on board tho hospital ship Marama. The members of St. Vincent do Paul's Society organised the reception, prepared the hall, decorated the stage tastefully with flower-pots, and provided a first-class musical entertainment. Among those who contributed vocal items were tho Misses Wood (two), Stannaway, and Mrs. O'Moara, who, with Miss Parker as accompanist, gavo a feeling rendition of "The Exile's Return to Erin," and Messrs. Spillane, M'Lean, and Lafferty. Miss R. Curraii played most of the accompaniments. Pte. L. R. Banks, son of Mrs. Banks; 60 NibJett Street, AVanganui, who was wounded in the right knee, is in the Ist Southern Hospital, Birmingham, whero he is progressing favourably. Lance-Corporal Maxwell J. G. Smart has returned to tho firing line. Ho was reported wounded and, Buffering from shell-shock on September 15.
