A sad burning fatality occurred at AVavcrley last week, when a little boy named Roscoe, only son of Mr. Arthur Roseoe, of AVavcrley, received injuries that resulted in his death. The little fellow was ■ left in bed asleep whilst the others were out milking, and it is supposed he got some matches and 'M, himself on fire. His screams broimht his parents, who found the ' clothes almost burnt off him. Tho doctor was called, and the little sufferer removed to the Patea Hospital; hut the injuries were so severe that tho little fellow succumbed almost immediately after admission. '
The Soccer game in Wanganui lias been dead since tlie war started, but its players are worthily upholding the traditions of the game on the more serious field. Four teams is all that 'AVanganui possessed before the war. and of tlicse teams no fewer than 25 men answered tho roll at the "General Meeting" held in Egypt when tho Main Expeditionary Force got there.
