Thore is, however, scarcely anything offerin j» by growers, and millers and merchants are finding it a moro difficult matr ter to obtain wheat, with a reported stirplus over the year's requirements, and only eight and a half months of tho wheat year gone there should bo still plenty available, but no ono seems to know where it is held. Not only is milling wheat scarce, but fowl wheat is unprocurable, and orders can only be filled with milling quality. . There is a, Eood demand for fowl wheat from tho North Island, and as with milling wheat prices have considerably advanced. There is good demand for potatoes from Auckland, but' Bupplie3 for shipping, aro now, almost exhausted. Tho price is now £10 to £10 10s. at country stations.
