ROSE SHOW —*- _■ Tlie patriotic rose show, under the auspices of tho Wellington Hoso and Carnation Club, to bo held at the Town Hall on Novomber 22, promises to bo almost successful one. His Excellency tbe Governor and the Countess of Livorpoor have. consented to open tho show, the net proceeds of which are to bo equally divided between tho Mayor's Fund for Wounded Soldiers and Zoo Rosory Rose Purchasing Fund. Every effort is to be niado to raise as largo a. sum as possible. The club will have tho assistance of an enthusiastic Ladies' Committee, who will undertake tho sale of cut flowers, which will be sold for tho bonefit of the funds, and for this purpose gifts of roses, etc., will bo thankfully received. Tho ladies will also provido patrons with afternoon tea and refreshments at a, nominal charge. Record entries aro anticipated. A feature of tho show will bo tho classes for suburban growers and tho decorated tablo competition. ■
