MANUKA, arrived Wellington November 13, and leaves for Lyttelton November 14. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. From Sydney direct the Manuka arrived in Wellington at 6.30 p.m., and berthed at No. 6 Queen's Wharf. She cleared from Sydney at 2 p.m. on November 9, and experienced strong south-easterly-winds and choppy seas till yesterday morning. Stephen Island was passed at 2 o'clock yesterday morning, and tho heads were reached at 6 p.m. The Monuka's Wellington cargo totals 1684 tons, and consists, principally of Eastern merchandise. She has transhipments from the Niklto Mara, Tenus Maru, Eastern, and Gunge, all Eastern cargo; Sierra, cargo from U.S.A.; and also from the Mntburn and Afrlc. She leaves this evening for Lyttelton. PASSENGERS FROM AMEHICA. The HuddartrParkcr Co. advise that tho Wimmera, which left hero last Saturday night for Melbourne, via southern ports, will leave Bluff on Thursday, and will call at Hobart on the way across to Melbourne. She should reach Hobart on Sunday, and will pick up passengers and cargo. She will doubtless leave_ again on Monday for Melbourne. It is many months now since the Wimmera called at Hobart on her way to Melbourne. JOBS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. H. K. Swain left by the Maori last evening, and will join the Waihora at Lyttelton, as purser. Mr. J. Elley, second engineer of the C'orinna, has signed off, and has been replaced by Mr. A. JTArthur. The Queen of the South will come off the slip this afternoon, and to-mor-row for Foxton. Messrs. Hatrick and Co. advis.e that the Tainui, which has been undergoing extensive overhaul at Kaipara is expected her to-morrow night. She will be loading on Thursday, and leaving that evening for Waitara. The small steamer Dorset, which left Lyttelton for Wanganui recently, anu which later put back in to port, had. a breakdown to her machinery. It appears that when off Cape Campbell the condenser got out of order through some foul matter having found its way into the bilges. In view of tho strong northerly wind it was deemed inadvisable to cross Cook Strait for Wellington, and consequently the vessel, with the aid of'some canvas and her reduced propelling power, returned to Lyttelton, where it is understood she will remain for some time.
The Kowhai left New. Plymouth yestcrdaj- for Greymouth, where sholoads for ■Wellington. The Mapourilta leaves for Picton, Nelson and the West Coaßt at noon to-tlay. The Knmo was to have left Greymouth at midnight last night, and is due here on Thursday. The Waihora leaves Lyttclton for Wellington late to-night. She is due here to-morrow. The To Anau is expected to leave Auckland this afternoon, and is coming vi" Gisborne. She afterwards goes on to Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin. S should get here on Friday. It is expected that the Poherua -will leave Bluff next Thursday for Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Welliii? Westport, ond Greymouth. She should get. here about the end of next week. The Westralia, according to advices received from the Huddart-IJarker Company, will leave Sydney to-morrow for Auckland, and is due at the northern port on Monday next. She leaves Auckland for Wellington, via Gisborne and Nanier, on Tuesday, and is due here on Friday, November 24. She will sail the same day for lyttelton and Dunedin. Tho Port Lyttelton arrived at Auckland on Saturday, at 8 p.m. The time of leaving is not sure, as it is not ,known how long she will take to discharge. She will call at Napier after leaving Auckland, and is due in Wellington about Saturday or Monday next. The schooner Arrah Na.J?ogue, -which was purchased some weeks ago by a Sydney buyer, is now loading a cargo of timber «at Auckland for Sydney. The Arrah Na Pogue is to be called Catherine. The Hincmoa left lost evening for the Strait lighthouses,, and is expected hack about next Thursday. She th«n loads hero and will sail on Monday or Tuesday next for the northern trip.
