SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
At the Sailors' Friend Society last night, an excellent programme of musio was provided by Mrs. James Morgan and party. During the evening a short story competition was entered into by those present. The Missioner (Mr. Moore), _ who presided, invited friends of the institute to send in discarded books or magazines for the use of seamen. An enjoyable evening closed with a vote of thanks whioh was accorded the performers with much vigour. The following contributed items: Madame Mueller, Mesd.imes Lewis and Tombs, Miss Jones and Talbot, Messrs. Tombs, Denton, and Manguson (Wimmcra). At tho piano were Mesdames Tombs, Burt, and Morgan, and Miss Sparrow.
