NOTICE TO NAVAL, MILITARY, . AND CIVILIAN APPLICANTS. The following instructions wero issued recently by tho Army Council regarding the grant of tlio silver badge to officers and men of tho Imperial military forces, who have served since August 4, 1914, and. have .retired or been discharged by reason of wounds or sickness caused by military service, applications from individuals should bo submitted as follows:— . By officers, to tho Secretary, War Office. By nurses, ditto. By members of Voluntary Aid Detachments, to their County "Association. By civilian's who served with-the Royal Army Medical Corps under a fixed agreement for a period of service, to the Denuty-Director of Medical Services of the command in which they served. ' B.v other civilians who have been emplovcd with the armies overseas, provided such emnloyment received official recognition, to the Secretary, War Office. By soldiers of the Regular Army and Special Reserve (stating regimental number, rank, corps Inst served in', date of enlistment, and date and cause of discharge),' to the office i/c records of the unit in which they have served. Bv soldiers of the Territorial Force, to the officer i/c records of thfe county unit in which thev have served. Officers in the Indian Services md members of Queen Alexandra's Military Nursing Service for .India, who have been invalided and are resident in Great Britain, should aoplv to' the Under-Secretary of State, India Office, and those who are residing in India to the _ Secretary to trie Government of In'i'a, Armv Department. Tho Admiraltv announce that the .pward will include officers and men of •the Roval Navy, Royal Marines, and Naval 'Forces of the Dominions. -Roval Fleet Reserve. Royal Naval Reserve. "Royhl-Naval Volunteer Reserve, and Royal Naval Auxiliary Sick Berth Reserve. Officers and men of the mercantile marine serving under special engagements in H.M. commissioned ships. Members' of Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service and Reserve, officiating ministers, civilian medical oractitioners, and dental surgeons, who have given wliole-timn service. Certain men in both Army and Navy with less than six months' service are ineligible.
