. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile, Agency Co., I/td., rgport that they held' a most successful sale of dairy stock on account of Mr. T. Clifford, of Manakau, on Monday. There was a large attendance, and good prices were obtained. The herd of 42 cows averaecd (including three quartered cows and late calTers) £12 125., the range of prices being:—Best cows, £15 to £19; fair cows, £10 to £14 155.; late calvevs and 3 quartered cows, £9 to £9 17s. 6d.; yearling heifer's, £4 15s. to £5 is.; small calves, 165.; weaner calves, 38s. 6d.; Jersey bull, £10 55.; light harness horses, aged, £14 10s. to £15; harrows, £5; spring trap, £7 155.; sundries .realised good auotion rates. On account of other vendors: Light harness horse, £12; fl re-year .draught gelding, £30.' A pet la-jii, donated by Miss Margaret Clifford in aid of .the. Manakau Patriotic Fund, was sold and resold, and the fund benefited to the amount of £7 4s. BUBNSIDE MARKET. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 8. At Burnside to-day 206 cattle were i. yarded. The entry exceeded requirements and prices declined £2. Extra prime bullocks, £21 12s. 6d. to £23 155.; medium, £18.to £20 10s.; light, .£l4. to £16 10s.; best cows and heifers, £17 7s. 6d.; medium, £14 10s. to £16 55.; light and unfinished; £11 10s. to £13 12s. 6d. Pat sheep (1615 penned): The opening prices were considerably above last week's, but towards the end they receded Is. 6d. to 2s. below late rate's. Extra prime wethers, 505.; medium to good, 41s. 6d. 6d.; light and unfinished, 325. 9d. to 365.; shorn wethers, 31s. 6d. to 325. 9d.; •light, 255. 6d. to 295.; shorn ewes, 295. to 31s. 6d.; light, 245. 6d. to 275. 9d. Lambs (39 penned), 31s. 6d.; others, 20s. 9d. to 275. 6d. There was a medium yarding of fat /pigs. Stores: Prices showed a big decline.
