MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
'A miniature shooting match was fired oh Saturday evening at Lower Hutt botween a team from the Lower Hutt National. Reserve and one from tho Wellington Companies of the Post and Telegraph Engineers (Territorial). Tho conditions were: Nino men per tcrfm, with seven shots each, and an optional sightcr. The match resulted in a win for the Lower Hutt National Reserve by 16 points, tho scores being: Lower Hutt, 541; Post and Telegraph Engineers, 525. Prier 66 and Kershaw 64 wero the highest scorers for Lower Hutt, while for P.,and T. Sergfr-Major James' 65, Sergt.-M'ajor, M'Kcefry, and Sapper Catley, 64 each, shot best. , At the conclusion of the shooting Sergt.Major M'Keefry, on behalf of the P. and T. Engineers, congratulated Lower Hutt N.R. on their win, and also thanked them for tho enjoyable even-' ing spent. He Tegretted that, as tho P. and T. did not have a range, he was unable at present to extend an invitation for a return match. Mr. Clapham replied on behalf of the Lower Hutt N.R. Lioiit. B. H. Parker, O.C. Bth Company, P. and T. Engineers, acted as range officer. Tho P. and T. would bo pleased to receive a challenge from any of the miniature rifle clubs in the
