TROUBLE THREATENED
AUCKLAND DRIVERS AND THEIR AWARD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, November 6. Serious trouble- is threatened in connection with the Arbitration Court award in tho Auckland drivers' dispute. Tho men complain that they had to wait twelve months for tho Court's decision, and the new conditions are so unsatisfactory that they refuse to submit to the terms of tho award. A meeting of tho union, at which there were 250 monVbcrs present, passed a resolution expressing tho opinion that tho Court had failed to make fair and reasonable provision in accordance with tho weight of evidence and conditions existing in the industry. It is assorted that "the Court has no longer the confidence of this body of workers," and alleges that "itß decisions show \ a prejudice strongly in favour of the Employers' Federation. "Tho union urges the Government to appoint a Commission to inquire into the alleged unjust treatment of drivers by tho Court, and an appeal is to bo made to tlio local organisation of transport workers for co-operation in the matter.
