KILBOT'S DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Sydney, November 6. The "-Sydney Morning Herald'" says that the attendance at tho Victorian Derby showed a marked falling off, being little. larger than for an ordinary •meetiDg, which was probably largely duo to. the bad weather. Tho paper attributes the defeat of Kilboy, the favourite, to the heavy going. Mehi King_ camo'at tho homo stretch, with Wolaroi, Kilboy, Ettefred, and Stage-land in pursuit. When fairly in line for the judge's box the success of the favourite was acclaimed, but a littlo further on, when Dempsey applied tho whip to the New Zealander, there was littlo appreciable response ■Wolaroi going to the front inside tho distance and winning easily. Tho state of the going is indicated by the fact that tho first half-mile occupied 5-lscc, tho second 55isec., the third 53sec., and tho last six furlongs lmin. 20sec, and the last mile lmin. sS}sec.
• The "Telegraph" says that Kilboy gave a ivory disappointing exhibition, and would or could not act on tho wet going.
