DISTRICT CENSUS RETURNS.

Naplor, NovernFJer 6. The census of Napier city gives 5867 males and 6823 females, a total of 12,690. The first return, including the Napier South combined area, all now in the city, shows an increase of 1733. The figures do not include Awatoto, .West Shore, Greenmeadows, Taradale, etc.
The Hastings figures are: 3281 males and 4088 females, a total of 7909, and an increase of 1083.
■AUCKLAND DISTRICT FIGURES,
Census . returns for the various boroughs in Greater Auckland are now available. They give the following particulars, the increase since 1911 being given in parentheses :—Birkenhead, 2134 (431); Devonport, 7865 (824); Onehunga, 5916 (1265); Newmarket, 2841 (61); Northcote, 1651 (140). The country figures are also appended :—Te Awamutu, 1064 (389): Hamilton and Frankton; 7533 (2878)• To Kuiti, 1982 (716); Whangarei, 3294 (630); Roterua, 2845 (455); Cambridge 1507 (44). Town Districts—Onerahi 325 (135): Kamo, 362 (25); New Lynn 1040 (448); Helensvi'le, 859 (154) Counties—Otamatea, 3643 (95); Great Barrier, 245 (171 decrease), East Taupo 506 (22 decrease); Eotorua, 1396 (242)
