MARIST MISSION
YESTERDAY' SERVICES. The mission'-which is being preached by tho Marist missioners, tEe llevs. Fathers Taylor and Herring, S.M.'s, at St. Mary's of tho Angels Church, was largely attended at all services yesterday. Masses were offered at 6, 7, 8, and 11 a.m., and at 3 p.m. the Women's Mission was brought to a close. The Rev. Father Taylor preached a powerful sermon on, tho dangers in life and how to overcome tliem, and urged his hearers to persevere in the good resolutions that they had taken during; tho mission. Tho renewal of baptismal vows, with each person holding a lighted candle, was very impressive. The l'apal blessing was given, and the Women's mission ended with the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. In tho evening the church was crowded with men, and tho Rev. Father Herring preached a very practical sermon, urging tho men to profit by tho mission and be an examp?o to their fellow men. Tho Men's Mission will continue for a week.
