Tho Newtown Club has decided to devote all tho entrance money received lor its regular club competitions this season to a patriotic fund, and, in addition, it is running a patriotic singles trophy competition oil rather .interesting lines, it .is a challenge game, in which tho loser of, tho game—to bo de-cided-by which player reaches 21 points first, or, Jailing that, by tho result at tho 21st head—pays in sixpence. Any number of games may eventuate—the more games tho moro sixpences to the fund. Tho winner of tho most games at the end of tho season is entitled to a guinea'trophy. !
