LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., ltd., report having held, their fortnightly salo at the Upper Hutt on Thursday, when they offered. a full yarding of cattle, including two or three good linos of grown bullocks, and a 6mall yarding of sheep. Buyers were present from the Wairarapa and the Manawatu, as well as a good attendance of local farmers. Bidding was exceptionally keen, particularly for grown sorts, and a total Clearance was made under the hammer, at prices considerably in excess of previous sales. They quote:— Three-year, bullocks, £12 95., £12 IBs., £13 103.; two-year-old steers, £7 155., £8 155.; m.s. yearlings, £2 10s. to £3; fat cows, to £12; forwhrd cows, £9 Is., £9 145.; to £10; empty lieifers; £8; springing heifers, £10 6s. to £11 10s.; two-year lieifers, £4 145.; yearling bulls, £2 6s. to £6 55.; three-year bulls, £S 2s.
