Hie associations .have, however, every reason to bo proud of tho response by their members to the call of duty. Tho desiro of tho committco to publish a complete roll of honour must be postuntil the end of tho war. Association secretaries are requested to keep the list of cricketers who have enlisted as completo as possible. The toll of deaths has been heavy, tho most recent being that of Lieutenant R. G. Hickmott, a prominent New Zealand representative.

"Several associations have raised the question of tho subscription to tlio coiineil for tlio ensuing season. The committee is of opinion that this is a matter for tho general meeting, and requests the various associations to'instruct their delegates accordingly. Two members of tho committee, Messrs. G. T. iWeston and A. T. Donnelly, have, enlisted for active service, and Mr.; Weston'has 1 qualified for a Cori^m^Rsinn^ , ' . Tho annual meeting of delegates will bo held In Christchurch next week.
