Christchurch, November 3. Tho weather was fine for training at Rieuai'tou this morning. Mullingar beat John Barleycorn, Montana, and Ttorke's Drift, in that order over nine furlongs, the last mile being done in lmin. 43sec. ltingform and ladogeur covered seven furlongs in lmin. 31 2-ssec., and Ardenvhor beat Moidant over the same distance in the 'same time. Snub did steady pacing, finishing witn half a mile in 50 l-ssec. Mure Antony was allotted a similar task. Other Cup horses did only easy work. A largo number of others wero out, but wero mostly restricted to steady pace work. . ClynelislL cut out half a mile in 50sec„ and a few others were given short sprints.
