BRITISH WHEAT CONTROL
SELLING AGENTS APPOINTED. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. London, November 1. The Wheat Commission has appointed a number of Ems as Government agents to sell Indian, Arfientino, Pacific, American, and Canadian wheats. At present tliev are only allowed to sell at the millers' remuneration of 3d. per quarter. CROP ESTIMATES FOR ENGLAND AND WALES. (Rec. November 2, 5.15 p.m.) London, November 1. The Board of Agriculture, in a preliminary estimate, states that England and Wales will produce 6,942,030 thousand quarters of wheat, 1,500,000 quarters under the 1915 crop. The acreage lias decreased by 258,000 thousand. Tbo production of oats has slightly increased, while hay has increascd 1 34 per cent.
