ANNUAL REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Special Corespondent.) Palmorston North, Novoniber 2. Tho annual report presented to tho mooting of the Lincoln Sheep-breeders' Association is as follows: —''Sinco last annual meeting 17 new flocks havo been admitted, after inspection by tho council's officer. The nuSiher of registered flocks on Juno 30, 1916, was 135. Thero is an unprecedented demand for Lincoln rams this year, whioh must bring before sheep-brooders tho splendid woolproducing qualities of the Lincoln sheep and induco breeders to cultivate purebred Lincoln flocks. Mr. W. .Perry will move at tho annual mooting: 'All stud sheep that are being oxportcd shall be inspected and passed before an export certificate is granted, tho inspector to havo power to rcfuso. an export certificate if the sheep aro not up to standard.' This will enable the association to maintain tho good namo which has been obtained by tho stud Lincoln sheep of Now Zealand. Messrs. R. Bremnor, W. 0. M'Kellar, and Sir J. G. Wilson retiro this year from the council, but aro oligiblo for re-cloction. Theroiis also an extra, vacanoy on tho council to bo filled. As resolved by tho last annual meeting, no.medals wero given for tho champion Lincoln ram apd ewo at tho principal shows. Tho cost of thoso medals was forwarded to tho committee looking after tho giving of relief to French farmers whoso- land had beon devastated! by tho ravages of tho war."
