TERRACE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

9 SEVENTY-SECOND. ANNIVERSARY. Celebrations in connection with tlie sevcnty-second anniversary of the Teiraco Congregational Church Sunday School were concluded' on Wednesday with a tea ■ and public meeting, over which the pastor, tho Rev. J. It. Glasson, presided. The annual report, submitted by the superintendent (Mr. ]?. Meadowcroft)stated that there were 72 scholars on the roll. The Roll of Honour contained the names of Capt. 13. R. Lankshear and I'to. H. Dumbell, together with 24 namos of scholars who had passed through the' Sunday School. The Young People's WorsTiip League had a membership of 21. The sum of_ £64 3s. 4d. had been collected for mission work during the year, and this averaged almost £1 per head per scholar. Tho result was deemed to bo very satisfactory. Officers elected, for the ensuing year were as follow:—Superintendent and treasurer, Mr. F. Meadowcroft; pianist, Miss Lankshear; librarian, Mr. B. Y. Holdsworth. During the course of tho evening addresses were given by the Revs. W. A. Evans and A. E. Hunt. Each of the speakers referred to the work of the Sunday School during the past 72 years, and impressed upon parents the necessity of sending their children to the Sunday School.
