MOTOR-BOAT PATROL

THE LIMIT INCREASED. Commander Armstrong, R.N., has been in New Zealand some weeks now recruiting men for semes in a Naral Auxiliary Force —the Motor Boat Patrol. The Minister of Defence in-posed , a limit of 150 as the maximum numljer of men to he recruited in New Zealand —75 motor mechanics and 75 officers. These numbers have now been increased, and Commander Armstrong is allowed to take 100 motor mechanics and 90 officers. The Hon. A. M. Myers has to approve of every enlistment, and he has to say whether tho man can be spared from industry in this_ country. The Minister of Defence said yesterday that he would not v again increase the limit of enlistments to be allowed. These figures could bo accepted as final. '
