A meeting of tho management committco of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last evening, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. On tho motion of Mr. WilliSj it -was resolved that all matches bo finished as drawn, irrespective of the ground on which they arc played. Base Records team were granted a practice wickct, The treasurer reported that all clubs had paid their cntrancc fees with the exception of Trentham and Hutt. It was decided that these clubs' subscription must be paid before play commences on Saturday noxt.
The Ground Committee reported that the request of clubs for tho remission of portion of their rents for tho uso of rooms on the Basin Reserve had been considered, and it had been decided not to rcduco same. ' The action of tlie committee was confirmed.
In the event of the Basin Reserve being taken by the Ited Cross collectors on Saturday next alt matches set down for that ground will ho played on Newtown Park. The games will be the same as drawn for last Saturday.
To-day tho City Council will commence shifting the pavilion oil tho Basin from its present position to one nearer the entrance gato. MAYOR'S PATRIOTIC FUND.
