TAXI-MEN, HORSE-DRIVERS & LIVERY STABLEMEN
ARBITRATION COURT AWARD./ By Telopapli—Press Association. Christchuroh, October 30. The Arbitration Court has issuod a Canterbury motor-car and horse drivers and livery stable employees' award. The hours of work aro not to exceed 48 a week, exclusivo of time in attending horses, which are not to exceed four hours for tho driver of one horse or eight in all other cases. Overtime is to be paid for any time in excess of nine hours per day. The minimum wages are: Drivers of one horse, £2 125.; two horses or moro, £2 165.; casual drivers, Is: 3d. per hour for one horso, Is. 4jd. for two horses or more/ Motor drivers' hours are fixed at 48 per week. Drivers of vehicles, oewt. to a ton, £2 15s. per week; up to a ton and a half, £2 17s. 6d.; casuals, Is. 3d. and k. 6d. per hour.
