PRISONERS SENTENCED
;By Tolegraph—Press Association. Christchuroh, Octobor 30. In the Supreme Court to-day prisoners wero sentenced as under:— . Elsie Hoann, opening postal packets, ordered to come up for sentence when called on; Walter Wililam Gabbitt, attempted rape, two years' imprisonment ; Clement Borrows, theft of mo-tor-cyclo, to como up for senteiico when called on, provided ho enlists; Alexander Charles ' Mitchell, theft from postal packets, committed to tho charge of tho Salvation Army Prisoner Brigade for eighteen months; Joso Gunderson,- who had been convicted of forgory of accountable receipts, was ordered to come up for sentence whon called upon, on condition that ho cnxisted. Prisoner also promised to assign certain will moneys to tho Public' Trustee in repayment of defalcations.
. NOT GUILTY. ' Chrlstohuroh, October 30. In tho Supreme Court to-day, Cornelius Patrick Sullivan was found not guilty of assault, with attempt te commit rape, at Tinwald on September 12.
