GETTING INTO TOUCH

WITH NECESSITOUS DEPENDANTS

The War Relief Association of Wellington has considerable'difficulty in gotting into touch with all the dependants of Wellington 6oldiers who go away with each Reinforcement. Their desire is to do so in order that no one in necessitous circumstances who is a genuine dependant on a fighting unit may go short of the essentials of life. As other methods have only been partially successful, the executive is now trying a new means of getting in communication with such people at once, by circularising the next-of-kin of every Wellington member of each Reinforcement.

The ciroular says: "The executive -of the association is desirous of getting into touch with all dependants of soldiers-belonging to the Wellington district who may he in need of assistance or advice. It is the earnest wish of the committee that the family of every .soldier shall have sufficient means of support during the absencs of the breadwinner who is or has been fighting for his country. Personal application is advisable when at ail possible, so that full particulars may bo obtained, but written communications will receive prompt attention."
