" MR REDMOND'S APPEAL APPLY HOME RULE AND WTN THE WAR (Eeuter's Teloeram.) - (Rec. October 31, 0.45 a.m\), London, October 80. Mr. John Redmond (the Irish Nationalist Leader), speaking at Sligo, v appealed to the Government to put the Home Rule Act into operation, and trust the Irish' people. "This one great act of British statesmanship would do more towards winning ' the' war than an alliance with half.a dozeu neutrals. All Irish rights can be won by constitutional action, and therefore onr first need is to rally the constitutional movement." He warned Irishmen that them was nothing Imperial in Ireland's position.
