Calfskins wore not competed for to the samo extent as at the previous sale, tho top price being about 3-Bd. lower. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., ttd.:—We offered a good catalogue to the 'usual bench of buyers Competition was exceedingly keen, and prices for sheepskins and hides were from , pad' to Jd. in sellers' favour. Tallow prices wero on a par -with last sale. ' New Zealand Farmers' So-operative Distributing Co.:—Wo had a good catalogue of dead wool and sheepskins. Tho market -was very firm, and the demand as keen as at any salo for some weeks past. All lots of skins were eagerly competed for, and realised full rates. Hides were very steady, and calfskins changed hands about on a par with last 6ale.
