CHILD BURNED TO DEATH

At Patutahi to-niaht a house bolongine to William Gedje, a drover, was destroyed by fird, and a littlo child, three or four years of age, was hurned to death. Gedye is away 'in Opotiki. Mrs. Gedyo was attending t.ho children iti a back room and found tho, front room, whore;-tho littlo one was', in flames, but she was too late to' rescue tho child. The houso was completely, destroyed.
