Sales of Union Steam shares at 425. 6d. are reported. THE 3IAURAKI' KEEFS, LTD. Tho mine manager's report, dated October 20, runs:—Stoping has been-in hand over tho No. 3 level, Qolconda reef, and some strong gold-bearing quartz was saved for treatment. In tho Wynyardton ■workings there are indications that the country rook in tho No. 2 and also the intcrmodiato faces, is going to bo firmer and less disturbed. In tho stopo off the rise gold was seen through the quartz broken out, and a little pioked stono was saved. From the No. 3 levol tho crosscut to cut the Wnyordton reef is out 12 feet in good country."
