LAND AGENTS' ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual mooting of tho 'Auctioneers' and Land Agents' Association of Wellington was held in tho Accountants' • Chambers last night. Mr. A. : A. Gcllatly (vice-president) was in the chair, and tho members present included delegates from Feilding.
The annual report and balance-sheet, showing a satisfactory financial position, were adopted, and officers were elected as follow:—President, Mr. A. It. Gcllatly; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. H. B. "Wilson and A. H. Atkinson; executive, Mcssrß. J. Fanning, S. Hareciurt, J. T. Horn, H. E. Leighton, E. E. i7anloy ; A. L. Wilßon, —. Fail-burn (Wangamu), G. A. Prcece (Palmerston North)' and E. J. Barnctt; auditor, Mr. E. tV. Hunt.
Soino discussion took placo on a proposal to make a grant to the Dominion isrociation towards tho expenses of two travelling delegates who were to urge the formation of local associations iu various centres and their affiliation with tho contral body-. Members said that improved organisation was highly desirable, with the object of securing uniformity of chargcis. It was decided that a grant at tho rato of ss. per member should bo made, tho Dominion Association to be asked to givo attention to tho Hawko's Bay and Taranaki districts.
Proposed increases in the scale of land agents' charges were considered, and it was dccidcd that the proposals should be a remit to tho Dominion Association, and should be placed before a _speoial meeting oE the "Wellington Association.
